The Shepherd

It was a tradition in our household on Christmas Eve to listen to CBC's As It Happens to hear Alan Maitland read Frederick Forsythe's "The Shepherd".


It is a wondrous, mysterious story told by the pilot of a de Havilland DH.100 Vampire jet lost over the North Sea on a foggy Christmas Eve in 1957.
